REPRESENTATIVE CASES

The following cases and results are a fair representation of the matters we have recently handled. Remember, however, that every case is different. Similar results may not be obtained in your case.

A rear-end collision, in which the plaintiff claimed $1,000,000.00 in damages with a panel of experts in support. Result: A jury finding of 30% negligence to the plaintiff, and only $16,000.00 in damages.

A premises liability case in a which an injured driver sued several entities, including a construction company, for injuries sustained when the driver overturned her vehicle near a construction site. Result: A verdict of over one million dollars against the co-defendant's, but no liability placed on our client.

A complex products liability case, in which over one-hundred plaintiff's sued a dental products manufacturer for a variety of injuries. Result: After the first trial resulted in a hung jury, our client settled for considerably less than its co-defendants.

A negligence/products liability case brought by the plaintiff for damages sustained while riding an allegedly defective elevator. Result: Directed verdict for the defense.

A trucking liability case, where the plaintiffs sued both the driver and trucking company for injuries suffered when a driver went on a rampage and side-swiped their vehicles. Result: Summary judgment for the defense in federal court, affirmed by the Fifth Circuit.

An insurance coverage dispute over coverage for a clergyman accused by several women in a civil suit of sexual harassment/molestation. Result: Our arguments against coverage resulted in a favorable settlement for our client.

A dental malpractice case, in which the plaintiff claimed TMJ injuries from a dental procedure. Result: Directed Verdict for the defense, after the court found the plaintiff's experts incompetent.

An insurance coverage/bad faith case, with multiple filings and appeals over the same issues. Result: $30,000.00 in sanctions awarded against the plaintiff and plaintiff's counsel.
